After the update of a MAC to macOS Sequoia Composer/Musician 4 show the message "Not Certified for this Operating System". What to do?
The version of Composer/Musician 4 and Wine are probably not up to the latest update.
macOS Sequoia requires at least Wine-10.0 and Composer/Musician 4.0.3
Please verify
- the version of Composer/Musician through Help/About Notation Composer/Musician. Composer/Musician probably shows a previous version
- the Wine version by opening the app Applications/Utilities/WineHQ_Config, tab About. Wine needs to be at least Wine-10.0
If your MAC is not on Wine-10.0 and Composer/Musician 4.0.3 you need to
(1) Upgrade Wine
See
https://www.notation.com/MAC.php . Walk through the installation guide how to install Wine on macOS Sequoia. Install Wine-X (X=higher equal 10.0)
(un-installation of the previous Wine version is NOT required)
(2) Uninstall the previous Composer/Musician 4. See the MAC installation guide (
https://www.notation.com/MAC.php )
section "A1. Uninstalling the software manually"
(3) Download the latest update of Composer/Musician 4 through the Upgrade Assistent at
https://www.notation.com/UpgradeOrder.php
(4) Install the update as described in MAC installation guide (
https://www.notation.com/MAC.php )
