Default Free Player vs Composer 4

I have several oaid instances of Composer on several machines, but opted to download the free player on a new Laptop, as I thought I could simply edit a song and load it into player. I didn't think about assigning different sound sources. I have the default GM Soundset, but many times want to use the sounds in the keyboard instead. To my knowledge there is no choice of settings to assign a song to a Midi Adaptor to an alternate source.

Default Re: Free Player vs Composer 4

Hi Bernie,

You are correct that Player does not have the capabilities of Composer nor Musician. The free Player is intended as a way for others to hear (using the onboard NS Synth and a really nice soundfont) and preview works that other musicians have created using Musician or Composer. If you're mainly using the laptop for listening and want to change the MIDI playback device (eg. to a keyboard or such) Musician can do that.

ttfn,
Sherry
